We have the first student who was successfully granted -Geshe-ma Sherab Palzin &#8211; who will have English online classes. With his project, we would like to give the possibility for Western Bon practitioners to listen to the teachings of this unique woman.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #333399; font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>Geshe Sherab Palzin biography<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Geshe\u00a0Sherab\u00a0Palzin\u00a0was born in 1982 in the Kham region of Tibet. Her father&#8217;s name is\u00a0Lha-dong\u00a0Namkha\u00a0and her mother&#8217;s name is Be-za Jamchen Gyalmo. She grew up in her uncle&#8217;s house, leading a simple nomadic childhood while learning to read, write and recite spiritual texts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At age 13, she received instruction in ng\u00f6ndro, ngozhi and phowa from Ragshi Tokden D<wbr \/>rimed\u00a0Yungdrung\u00a0Rinpoche, along with her uncle,\u00a0Wangchug.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2000, at age 19, she entered Khyungpo Ri Tse Druk Monastery and received novice vows for women from Drubchen Namkha Gyaltsen Rinpoche. She was given the name Sherab Palzin. Under the guidance of realized master Drubchen Namkha Gyaltsen Rinpoche, she practiced ng\u00f6ndro, ngozhi and phowa, and completed twice a traditional 49-daydark retreat. She received several precious empowerment, transmissions and teachings from this master. At the same time, she also received dzogchen teaching on the mind written by Shardza Tashi Gyaltsen <wbr \/>Rinpoche&#8217;s\u00a0from\u00a0TsukphudRinpoc<wbr \/>he.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At age 21,\u00a0Sherab Palzin\u00a0went on a pilgrimage to the holy mountain Kongpo Bonri with her uncle and mother.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">From 2001 to 2004, she received instruction in Kalung Gyatso, the\u00a0ng\u00f6ndro text of Shardza Rinpoche, from Lama Gyatso Norbu Rinpoche, the head of Khyungpo Tengchen Monastery. During this time, she did a 100-day\u00a0tsa-lung\u00a0retreat,\u00a0anot<wbr \/>her\u00a049-day dark retreat and the six\u00a0lokas\u00a0practice.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2005, at age 24,\u00a0Sherab Palzin\u00a0made the arduous journey from Tibet to Nepal through the Himalayan region. She reached Nepal and met His Eminence Menri Lopon Yongdzin Tenzin Namdak Rinpoche. She received the novice vows from His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche on the full moon day of the 9th Tibetan month (Hor calendar). She was given the name Tenzin Lhamo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She received teaching from His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche on the Experiential Transmissi<wbr \/>on of Zhang Zhung, Dzogchen Ye-tri Tha-sel, dark retreat practice, the Vinaya lineage in B\u00f6ntradition and Sang-don Nam-jed (a tantra text). She also received Khandro Kalpa Zangmo, Phurpa T<wbr \/>se-Drub, Ma-Seng, Nyam-Med La-Drub, Drenpa and Sherap <wbr \/>Chamma empowerments from His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She received instruction in the four main dzogchen texts (Dzogchen Drakpa Korsum, Gabpa<wbr \/>\u00a0Gukor,\u00a0Yetri\u00a0Thasel\u00a0andKaGyud<wbr \/> korzhi) from Drubdra Khenpo Tsultrim <wbr \/>Tenzin Rinpoche.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On February 24, 2009,\u00a0Sherab Palzin\u00a0received the\u00a0full\u00a0360vows\u00a0for nuns\u00a0and the name Sherab Yeshe Palzin from His Holiness the 33rd Menri Trizin, Lungtok Tenpai NyimaRinpoche,\u00a0and His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche at Triten Norbutse Monastery in Nepal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2010, on the 9th day of the 10th month of the Tibetan Hor calendar, she arrived at Menri Monastery in India and a month later was accepted into the\u00a0B\u00f6n Dialectic\u00a0School at RednaMenling\u00a0Nunnery near Menri Monastery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">On March 29, 2013, she passed a full oral recitation examination on the basic text of B\u00f6n logic written by Kunkhen Nyima Tenzin\u00a0(23rd Abbot of Menri Monastery),\u00a0in front of\u00a0His\u00a0Holiness\u00a0the\u00a033rd Menri Trizin Rinpoche and Menri Lopon Trinley Nyima Rinpoche at Menri Trizin Rinpoche&#8217;s residence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The 33rd Menri Trizin Rinpoche said, &#8220;You are the first among the nuns to take the oral recitation exam at\u00a0this residence.&#8221; And he gave her the yellow spiritual hat (tse-zha) and praised her highly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sherab Palzin\u00a0received the\u00a0complete\u00a0empowerments of the outer cycles of tantra and the empowerments of Ma-we\u00a0Senghe, Tse-drub, the\u00a0Oral\u00a0Transmission of Zhang\u00a0Zhung from His Holiness 33rd Menri Trizin Rinpoche.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2019, she received several valuable empowerments of outer and inner tantra cycles from His Eminence Yongdzin Rinpoche and Khenpo Tenpa Yungdrung Rinpoche at Triten Norbutse Monastery.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She received\u00a0dzogchen teachings from His Holiness\u00a0the\u00a034th Menri Trizin, Dawa Dhargyal Rinpoche,\u00a0as well as\u00a0ng\u00f6ndro and\u00a0phowa teachings from His Eminence Menri Lopon Trinley Nyima Rinpoche.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sherab Palzin studied dzogchen, tantr<wbr \/>a\u00a0and sutra and all the other\u00a010\u00a0traditional Bon sciences for\u00a013\u00a0years at Redna Menling Nunnery.
