THE TRANSLATION PROJECT concerns the translation of Bon tradition texts from Tibetan into Polish. There is a growing number of Bon practitioners in Poland, more and more courses and lectures are being held, thus increasing the demand for access to Tibetan texts. In response to this need, with Jacek Trzebuniak we have started work on the translations.
Jacek Trzebuniak began practicing in the Bon tradition in 2007, studied Buddhism, Tibetan history and culture with scholars at Jagiellonian University (including Prof. Joanna Grela). He also received Bon teachings from masters of this tradition in Poland and abroad (for example in Lishu Institute in India).
First, selected texts from the collection of Zhang Zhung Nyen Gyu will be translated. This is a large collection of dzogchen texts, which in the book edition has around 2000 pages. The main text of this collection is called Kagyu korzhi and consists of 4 parts. These 4 parts include texts such as:
– 12 small tantras
– 6 lamps
– 8 chapters of essential instructions
– 21 nails
So far, the Foundation has collected donations to translate two texts: 12 small tantras and 6 lamps. The texts are now ready and available for download at the bottom of the page.
The next text we will be working on is:
21 nails – for this purpose we need to raise 1 650 PLN
50 PLN from 1 650 PLN
a commentary on 21 nails – for this purpose we need to raise 5 100 PLN
50 PLN from 5 100 PLN

The possibility to publish these texts depends on the generosity of donors, so please donate to the foundation account (with the note “Donation translation project”). You can donate any amount. We will post information on the progress of the collection on the website.
Finished texts will be available for free download on our website.
